SharpByte RWA Ecosystem Vault launches on Upshift
A USDC vault on Ethereum, curated by SharpByte Capital, that allocates across the tokenized asset capital structure, from lending liquidity on RWA money markets to senior and junior tranches.

Tokenized real-world assets now span a full capital structure onchain. Money markets lend against tokenized credit, issuers sell senior and junior tranches with different claims on the same cash flows, and holders can borrow against RWA tokens to run carry trades. Reaching all of that as one allocator means tracking several issuers, several protocols and more than one chain. SharpByte Capital launched the SharpByte RWA Ecosystem Vault on Upshift today to put that whole range behind a single USDC deposit on Ethereum.
What SharpByte Capital does
SharpByte Capital is a crypto-native investment fund built to capture delta-neutral and asymmetric yield opportunities, combining yield curation with access to early-stage protocol deals and hands-on advisory work for protocols. General partner Marco Manoppo has more than seven years of experience across hedge funds, institutional research and crypto venture capital. SharpByte already curates earnUSDnr, the primary stablecoin yield vault on Fluent, which went live on Upshift in April.
How the vault works
Depositors send USDC to the vault on Ethereum and receive upSBRWA, a receipt token that represents their share. SharpByte then deploys the capital across four layers of the tokenized asset market, each with a different risk and return profile.
Layer | What the vault does |
Lend-side liquidity | Supplies stablecoins to RWA money markets, where borrowers post tokenized assets as collateral |
Senior and junior tranches | Holds tranches of tokenized credit, with seniors paid first and juniors taking a higher return for absorbing first losses |
Levered RWA carry | Borrows against RWA tokens when the asset's yield sits above the borrowing cost |
Negotiated liquidity mandates | Provides liquidity to issuers and protocols on terms agreed directly with them |
The strategy reaches RWA markets on Solana as well as Ethereum, so the vault operates through subaccounts on both chains. SharpByte decides the mix and rebalances between layers as rates and capacity change, and depositors hold one position throughout.

Why the vault sits on Upshift
An RWA strategy that spans issuers, protocols and two chains needs firm limits on where capital can go. On Upshift, the vault contract holds deposits, and SharpByte acts through subaccounts that August's policy engine restricts at the chain, protocol, token and function level, so the curator can move capital between approved venues and nowhere else. Depositors keep self-custody of their position, and every allocation can be checked onchain.
Upshift has processed more than $550M in deposits at peak across over 50 vaults on more than 30 chains. The vault contracts have been through 10 smart contract audits by 6 independent firms.
Risks
The vault carries the credit risk of the real-world assets underneath it. An issuer or borrower can default, and junior tranches absorb losses before senior ones, which is why they pay more. Many RWA tokens redeem on fixed schedules or depend on thin secondary markets, so exits can take longer when markets are stressed. Levered carry positions lose money if borrowing costs rise above the asset's yield or the collateral falls in value. Moving capital between Ethereum and Solana adds bridge risk, and every protocol the vault uses adds smart contract risk. Returns vary, and no level of return is guaranteed.
Always make sure to do your own research and be aware of the above and any other risks before depositing.
