Stablecoin payout APIs compared: 8 providers for 2026
A stablecoin payout API turns a platform's USDC into local currency on the recipient's bank rail, often within minutes. The money funded for each batch waits days before it goes out, and it can earn in a stablecoin vault while it waits.
A US freelance marketplace collects $600,000 from its clients by Monday and pays 2,000 freelancers in Mexico, Brazil and the Philippines on Thursday. It converts the dollars to USDC on Monday and holds them for three days. Then it sends the batch through an API that turns USDC into pesos over SPEI, reais over Pix and Philippine pesos over InstaPay. For stablecoin payouts like this one, the main providers as of 6 October 2026 are Bridge (owned by Stripe), BVNK (owned by Mastercard), Conduit, zerohash, Circle Payments Network, Stripe's own stablecoin payouts for Connect, Mural and Borderless. They sell the on-ramp, the off-ramp and the payout itself. Upshift works alongside them, and the platform's USDC can earn in an Upshift stablecoin vault for the three days it waits.

Payout APIs that hold the licences themselves
Four of the eight run regulated entities of their own and sell the conversion, the transfer and the local payout through one integration.
- Bridge. Stripe closed its $1.1 billion purchase of Bridge on 4 February 2025. Bridge's fiat payment methods page lists four currencies for on-ramp and off-ramp, with USDC available on Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Solana, Stellar and Tempo. It also sells stablecoin issuance, cards and wallets.
- BVNK. Mastercard completed its acquisition of BVNK on 3 August 2026, in a deal valued at up to $1.8 billion. Its currency reference shows which stablecoins each customer gets by jurisdiction: EEA customers get USDC and EURC, and customers elsewhere also get USDT and PYUSD.
- Conduit. Conduit lists the local rails it pays out on, from FedNow and RTP in the US to Pix in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico and SEPA Instant in the eurozone, and says it works with 8 US banking partners. It joined Circle Payments Network as an originating institution in May 2025, starting with US and European flows into Mexico.
- zerohash. zerohash says its payouts reach more than 200 jurisdictions and screens each wallet address before it pays. Since August 2026 it has powered stablecoin prefunding and payouts for eligible Visa Direct clients, and Gusto uses it for payouts to workers outside the US.
Networks and orchestration layers route to other licensed firms
The other four connect a platform to licensed partners, or add stablecoin payouts to a product the platform runs on already. Circle Payments Network is a network where member banks and payment companies settle with each other in USDC or EURC. Each member handles its own local leg, and Circle lets in only institutions that meet its eligibility rules. Stripe's stablecoin payouts for Connect are in private preview for US platforms. They pay USDC to individuals and sole proprietors in 67 countries (companies can't receive them yet, and New York and Hawaii are excluded). Recipients link a wallet in Stripe's Express Dashboard and the platform keeps sending dollar transfers. Mural gives businesses virtual accounts in dollars and several Latin American currencies and converts stablecoins to local currency. Its prices aren't public. Borderless routes payouts across 19+ locally licensed providers and passes their rates through for one flat platform fee. It describes itself as a technology company, and the financial products come from the partner institutions directly.
Artemis put B2B stablecoin payments at a $76 billion annualised run rate in August 2025, with B2C payouts at $3.3 billion and prefunding at $3.6 billion.
On-ramps and off-ramps are the two halves of every payout
A stablecoin on-ramp turns a platform's dollars or euros into USDC, usually from a bank transfer into a virtual account the provider issues. The off-ramp does the reverse in the recipient's country. Coverage depends on the off-ramp, since a payout to Lagos or Manila only lands as fast as the local partner's banks allow. Pix pays in seconds. Bridge, BVNK, Conduit and Mural all sell both halves through one API. Circle Payments Network splits them between two member institutions, one at each end of the corridor. The flow from fiat to stablecoin and back out is the stablecoin sandwich. Stablecoin cross-border payments covers corridor costs and the four ways to set up a corridor.
Accepting stablecoin payments as a business runs the same rails the other way. Stripe's stablecoin payments take USDC on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Base and Tempo and settle in the merchant's Stripe balance in local currency. US businesses can turn them on today, and businesses in the EU, Hong Kong, Mexico and Switzerland are in private preview. Bridge and BVNK sell acceptance through the same API they use for payouts. A payout batch waits days between funding and payout
In the marketplace example the USDC sits on the platform's books from Monday to Thursday. A payroll provider holds employer funds from the funding date to payday (Stablecoin payroll follows it step by step). A remittance company holds a reserve to top up its payout partners, priced in Cross-border prefunding. Those balances add up. A platform paying out $600,000 every week, and funded three days ahead, carries roughly $260,000 on an average day. The float grows with every new corridor and every payout run that's funded early. Of the eight payout providers, Mural and BVNK advertise an Earn product for idle balances. And the money has to be back in USDC, on the right chain, before the batch is sent on Thursday morning.
A stablecoin vault earns on the float between funding and payout
Upshift is onchain yield infrastructure for fintechs and asset managers with stablecoin balances, from 24/7 tokenized money market funds to DeFi strategies on one integration. A payout platform usually starts in the Conservative band, where the stablecoin vault holds tokenized money market funds next to a USDC buffer. It earns close to the T-bill rate, weekends included. The 13-week bill yielded 4.19% on 6 October 2026, per the US Treasury's daily bill rates. At that rate the marketplace's $600,000 earns about $207 over three days, or roughly $10,800 a year if it repeats every week, before vault fees (rates move daily and aren't guaranteed).
All Upshift vaults process redemptions daily, each with its own lag, and most offer instant redemption for a fee, subject to available liquidity. A platform can match its redemption request to the payout calendar and keep a slice in plain USDC for same-day surprises. It can also run a vault limited to its own wallet, which keeps the float out of a shared exit queue; Segregated vs co-mingled vault accounts covers the trade-off. The SDK (@augustdigital/sdk) is one client for EVM chains, Solana and Stellar, and the same integration can add Core and Enhanced vaults later. Upshift's contracts have been through 11 smart contract audits by 6 independent firms. Upshift vaults have held $550M+ at peak, across 50+ vaults on more than 30 chains.
Questions treasury teams put to stablecoin payment providers
- Which entity holds my funds in each corridor, and under which licence?
- Which off-ramp partner pays out locally, and is there a second partner if the first loses its banking access?
- What is the all-in cost per payout, with the FX spread shown apart from the fee?
- Which chains and stablecoins can we fund in, and does that change by our jurisdiction? (BVNK's list does.)
- How long do our funds sit with you before payout, and does anything earn on them?
The same checklist applied to the yield side is in Vault provider due diligence. The US GENIUS Act was signed on 18 July 2025. It takes effect on the earlier of 18 January 2027 or 120 days after final rules, and the OCC proposed its implementing rule on 25 February 2026. Stablecoin regulation tracks the rest (general information, not legal advice).
A stablecoin can trade below $1 for a period, an off-ramp partner can lose its bank, a vault contract can have a bug, and a large withdrawal may wait for liquidity. Always make sure to do your own research and be aware of the above and any other risks before depositing.

Frequently asked questions
Best stablecoin payout APIs for global payouts
As of 6 October 2026 the main ones are Bridge, BVNK, Conduit, zerohash, Circle Payments Network, Stripe stablecoin payouts, Mural and Borderless. zerohash lists 200+ payout jurisdictions and BVNK 130+ countries, while Stripe's option is a private preview for US Connect platforms paying individuals.
Best stablecoin on-ramp and off-ramp providers for fintechs
Bridge, BVNK, Conduit, Mural and zerohash sell both ramps through one API. Bridge's docs list USD, EUR, MXN and BRL rails for both directions, and Conduit adds FedNow, RTP and SEPA Instant for instant fiat legs.
How do you accept stablecoin payments as a business?
Use a payment processor. It accepts the stablecoin and pays out fiat or USDC. On Stripe, US businesses enable stablecoin payments in the Dashboard and receive dollars in their Stripe balance, with a $10,000 limit per customer transaction.
What should treasury teams ask stablecoin payment providers?
Ask which licensed entity holds the funds, who does the local payout and what happens if that partner fails, and the fee split from the FX spread. Ask how long funds wait before payout, since a batch funded three days early is float that can earn in a vault.
Do stablecoin payout APIs pay interest on pre-funded balances?
Mural and BVNK list an Earn product for idle balances, and the others on this list don't advertise one. A platform can hold the USDC in its own stablecoin vault and redeem it the day before the batch.
How fast do stablecoin payouts reach a bank account?
The onchain leg confirms in seconds to minutes at any hour. The local leg depends on the rail: Pix, SPEI, FedNow and SEPA Instant pay within seconds, and Conduit quotes 0 to 8 hours for SWIFT.
